Photo & ordering help

Prepare your images, check the preview, and know what to expect from checkout and delivery.

Accepted image formats

Up to 15 MB per file and 24 megapixels per image. We create a still preview so formats such as HEIC and TIFF work even when your browser cannot open them directly.

JPEG

.jpg, .jpeg, .jpe, .jfif

Standard photos, including progressive JPEG.

PNG / APNG

.png, .apng

Transparency prints on white. Animated PNG uses its default still image.

WebP

.webp

Still or animated; only the first frame is printed.

GIF

.gif

Only the first frame is printed, not the animation.

HEIC / HEIF

.heic, .heif, .hif

iPhone and other HEIF photos. Uses the primary image, or the first image if no primary is marked.

TIFF

.tif, .tiff

Uses the first page. Export other pages separately to print them.

AVIF

.avif

Only the first image is printed.

BMP

.bmp

Windows bitmaps, including indexed and bitfield variants. Export RLE-compressed BMP as PNG first.

SVG

.svg, .svgz

Self-contained vector artwork. Scripts, external resources, embedded images, and stylesheets are not accepted; export those files as PNG.

Every file must successfully decode within the limits. PDF, camera RAW, PSD, JPEG XL, JPEG 2000, and other unsupported encodings must be exported to a supported format first. Renaming a file does not convert it.

Photos, checkout & delivery

How do I get sharp prints?

Use the original photo rather than a screenshot or an image saved from a message preview. For 4×6 at 300 pixels per inch, aim for 1800×1200 pixels (landscape) or 1200×1800 (portrait). Images below 100 pixels per inch at the selected crop cannot be printed. Small images may look soft even when accepted.

What does Fill print or Fit whole photo do?

Fill print crops the photo to the paper’s shape. Move the crop to protect faces and important details. Fit whole photo keeps the full image and adds white space where needed. Check every preview before approving checkout.

What happens to animations and multiple pages?

One uploaded file produces one still image. GIF and animated WebP use the first frame; APNG uses its default still image. TIFF uses the first page. HEIC/HEIF uses its primary image, or the first image if none is marked. To print another frame or page, export it as a separate image first. Live Photo video and sound are not printed.

Why do colors or transparent areas look different?

Transparent areas print on white. Files are converted to a standard 8-bit sRGB JPEG for the print lab and metadata is removed. HDR, wide-gamut, and CMYK colors may look different after conversion; screens and paper also reproduce color differently. Review the converted preview.

What if a file will not open?

A file extension alone does not guarantee a readable image. Some compression variants or damaged files may not decode. Export to JPEG or PNG, keep the file under 15 MB and 24 megapixels, and try again. PDF documents, camera RAW files, Photoshop PSD files, JPEG XL, and JPEG 2000 need conversion before upload. Do not just rename the extension.

Are my photos stored when I select them?

Selection sends the file to our server to create a compatible still preview. The preview endpoint does not save it to your photo library. When you continue after signing in, we save your cropped, print-ready photo privately. Unsubmitted saved photos can be removed from your photo list. See Privacy for retention and order records.

How many photos can I order?

Add up to 50 different photos and 500 total prints per order, with up to 99 copies of each photo. Choose your product before requesting a quote. Each order currently contains one product.

Where do you deliver, and when will prints arrive?

The current service supports United States addresses. The print partner checks availability and the final shipping price before checkout. Delivery depends on the provider and destination; there is no arrival guarantee without a confirmed estimate. Tracking links appear in My orders when available.

How do address suggestions work?

Start typing your street address and choose a Google address suggestion. City, state, ZIP code and other address details stay collapsed after autofill. Choose “Show address details” to add an apartment or suite, make corrections, or enter the address manually. Missing required details open automatically. Always check the delivery address, phone and email before ordering.

How do prices, coupons, and payment work?

A live quote shows print cost, shipping, tax, and any coupon savings before payment. Apply one coupon per order and review the updated total. You can pay by an available card or crypto method. Crypto token availability and the exact amount are checked at checkout. Quotes can expire, so refresh an expired quote before paying.

Can I use Apple Pay or Google Pay?

Choose “Card or wallet” at checkout. Continue to Square to choose a card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. New card and wallet payments use secure Square checkout. Wallet availability depends on your device, browser, saved payment card, and the payment provider. If no wallet button appears, use the card option on Square. The delivery address and total remain the ones you approved before payment.

Payment failed or seems stuck. Should I pay again?

Check the existing order in My orders first. If payment may have succeeded, do not create a second order or pay again. Contact support with the order reference. Payment confirmation and the print lab’s acceptance are separate steps; neither means the order has shipped.

Can I change, cancel, or report an issue?

Contact support promptly with your order reference and a description of the problem. Once the lab starts printing, changes or cancellation may no longer be possible. For damaged or incorrect prints, we will check with the fulfillment partner before arranging a resolution.

Can an AI agent place an order?

Yes. Agents can use private guest checkout or an account API key. They should read the current product and upload specifications, upload image bytes, request a quote, and obtain your approval of the photos, address, and total. Keep guest tokens, checkout links, API keys, and wallet credentials private.

Need a hand?

Email support@photoprintagent.com with your order reference when available. Never send card numbers, wallet seed phrases, or private API keys.
